"TATTOO VINCE" HAS BOND HEARING TODAY - Prosecutor Opposes Bonding

(01/10/2003)
A Roane County man who is facing murder charges in the death of a Poca Road man will have a bond hearing today. Alex Vincent Golosow, known as "Tattoo Vince," has been held without bond on multiple charges, more recently for the murder of Judson Reid.

Roane prosecuting attorney Mark Sergent said he will oppose Golosow's request, indicating he is a risk to flee and is a danger to the community.

The indictment is expected to be presented to a Roane Grand Jury on January 28.

Judge David Nibert, according to the Times-Record and Roane County Reporter, will be called upon to decide the question of bond at the hearing set for 11 a.m. in Roane Circuit Court. Golosow is represented by a court-appointed attorney, Drew Patton of Spencer.

Reid was reported to have been struck in the head by an object resembling a garden tool, then he was shot in the head, according to a medical report.

Judson Reid had lived with Golosow the last few months of his life and neighbors said they were constant companions."Tattoo Vince" said Reid was his best friend, but he may have killed him because he brought an informant to his house at Tariff.

Reid's body was dumped on Pisgah Ridge, a mountain above the Town of Clay.

Federal and state agents first raided Golosow's home in July, when they allegedly found cocaine and more than 80 firearms, but no charges were filed at that time.

Golosow has not been charged in the August 31 disappearance of Christian Dawn Starcher, 18, who went out for a pack of cigarettes and never returned. The woman was an acquaintance of "Tattoo Vince."
