MON COUNTY STAND-OFF DEATH - One man is dead after a standoff with the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department. It happened around 2:41 p.m. on Saturday in the Williams Road area of the county. Officials say deputies responded to a call about a man walking with a handgun on the caller's property. A confrontation with the suspect ended with the deputies using deadly force. That suspect was identified as 62-year-old Randall Beymer of Monongalia County. The Monongalia County Sheriff's Detective Unit is investigating the incident.
