BALL AND MYERS WIN SPELLING BEE - Regional Contest March 29

Calhoun Middle School held their County Spelling Bee on January 7, 2003. Twelve students from fifth through eighth grades participated, with Mr. Gordon Rogers pronouncing. School Spelling Bee Coordinators Tammey Webb and Linda Edwards served as spelling judges.

The bee went a total of 19 rounds with the last word, "cowl," spelled correctly.

Students representing CMS in the Regional Spelling Bee, March 29, 2003, will be first place winner Chelsey Ball and runner-up Lauren Myers. The Alternate will participate only if one of the winners cannot participate.

Students were prepared and excited about the Spelling Bee.
