STATE POLICE HAVE HIGH-SPEED AND SLOW-SPEED CHASE ON RT. 16 - Responders Dispatched To Car Crash At Millstone

2/23/2018 - While details are sketchy, WV State Police had what was reported to be a high-speed and slow-speed chase on Route 16 Friday night from Clay County to the Arnoldsburg (US 33-119), the vehicle turning around at Arnoldsburg and heading back toward Clay County.

First Sgt. O. S. Starsick and other officers were in pursuit of the vehicle, when it was stopped at Minnora.

The subject was taken into custody.

It was not learned why the chase was initiated or what charges will be filed.

The Calhoun Sheriff's Department also responded to the call and other officers reportedly responded or were en route.

Calhoun responders were also dispatched to a single vehicle accident about 4:30 p.m. Friday at Millstone, the vehicle crashing against the hillside.

No one was injured.

Minnie Hamilton EMS, the Arnoldsburg VFD and the Calhoun Sheriffs Department responded to the incident.
