She was born June 2, 1931 at Chloe, a daughter of the late Curt and Tillie Brannon Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Tucker; son, Gene Tucker, Jr; and a sister, Olive Boggs.

She was a member of the Reedy Baptist Church, and had been employed as a bookkeeper at the former Spencer State Hospital.

Oma is survived by her son, Larry Tucker and wife Susan of Reedy; grandson, David Tucker and fiancée, Heather Miller of Reedy; great-grandchildren, Blake Tucker and Savanah Miller; and sisters, Joyce Metz of Akron, OH, and Janet Rexroad of Parkersburg.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm Saturday, February 10, at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Bill Stewart officiating. Burial in Minnora Cemetery will take place at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service.
