Okey Winford Burns, 73, of Spencer

Okey Winford Burns, 73, of Spencer, West Virginia formerly of Conneaut, Ohio died February 5, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

He was born March 4, 1944 in Webster Springs, West Virginia a son of the late Parley Lee and Freda Roetta Flusser Burns. He was retired from the City of Conneaut street department as a mechanic. He enjoyed restoring old cars and selling these cars at various car shows. He was a US Army veteran.

Okey is survived by two daughters, Elaine Burns and Lucinda Taylor, both of Spencer; one son, Lewis Gabel of Ashtabula, Ohio; four sisters, Helen Burney of Palatka, Florida, Cathy Hickock of Missouri, Karen Lyons of Ashtabula, and Terri Hammond of Oklahoma; two brothers, Larry Burns of Ashtabula and Roger Burns of Conneaut; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Briscoe and Edith Burns; one brother, William Burns and One Grandson, Ricky Gabel.

There will be a visitation from noon until 2:00 pm Saturday February 10, 2018 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer. Per his request, there will be no funeral service and the body will be cremated following the visiting hours.
