PUBLIC SERVANT JOY SHAFFER STARCHER DEAD AT 77

Joy Shaffer Starcher and husband Marvin Starcher Longtime Calhoun public servant Joy Shaffer Starcher of Mt. Zion has died at age 77. Starcher was a longtime employee of the Calhoun County Board of Education, and had previously been employed in the Calhoun Clerk's and Prosecuting Attorney's office. She also served as a member of the Calhoun School Board. Her husband Marvin Starcher died in 2016. Arrangements being completed at Stump Funeral Home.
