Joy Shaffer Starcher and husband Marvin Starcher
Longtime Calhoun public servant Joy Shaffer Starcher of Mt. Zion has died at age 77.
Starcher was a longtime employee of the Calhoun County Board of Education, and had previously been employed in the Calhoun Clerk's and Prosecuting Attorney's office.
She also served as a member of the Calhoun School Board.
Her husband Marvin Starcher died in 2016.
