CALHOUN ROUTE 16 NORTH DRIVERS FACING DELAYS - Upgrades To Allow Heavy Hauling

(01/28/2018)
Drivers in Calhoun County may experience some traffic delays during the next few weeks.

West Virginia Division of Highways announced Monday that there may be minor delays along state Route 16 north due to some pipe replacement.

Ohio WV Excavating is working on behalf of Columbia Gas Transmission to install a pipe and piling wall just north from the junction of Calhoun County Route 10.

The project is related to the construction of the White Oak Compressor Station.

According to a post by West Virginia DOH, the work will happen between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The project isn't expected to be complete until March 31.

Flagging personnel will be in the area to maintain traffic, but you should use an alternate route if possible.

DOH says this work is part of their effort to cooperate with the oil and gas industry as they upgrade roads, all in an effort to minimize damages to routes due to repetitive heavy hauling.
