Alice Ruth Holswade Ryan, 94, of Spencer

Alice Ruth Holswade Ryan, 94, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2017 at home. She was born November 17, 1923 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Harry S. and Goldie Bly Reed Holswade. Alice is survived by her children, Patricia (Gary) Riggs, David N. Ryan, and Lesa (Antonio) Perez; and two granddaughters, Alissa Perez and Lauren (Tyson) Dabney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. (Nick) Ryan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 20, 2017 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer with Rev. James Epling officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be an hour before the service. Burial will take place at the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer at a later date.
