Larry (Max) Shiflet, 78, of Normantown, WV passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV. He was born in Orange, VA on April 23, 1939, a son of the late Hoy and Cloda Moody Shiflet. He was a member of Masons, a member of Eureka Lodge #40 and a Shriner. He was retired from Pace Pipeline Company where he was a superintendent. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Daisy Shiflet; sons, Larry W. Shiflet of Normantown, WV and Phil (Debbie) Shiflet of Normantown, WV; grandsons, Michael (Leslie) Shiflet of Cox's Mills, WV and Justin Shiflet of Normantown, WV; granddaughter, Sarah Shiflet of Burnsville, WV; great grandson, Luke Shiflet,and sister, Sue Bidler. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Beverly Shiflet and sisters, Evalyn Shiflet, Edith Clatterbuck, and Shirley Jackson; and brother, Jack Shflet. A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Underwood officiating.
