HARDMAN FORK MURDER SUSPECTS SENTENCED IN CALHOUN CIRCUIT COURT

Calhoun Circuit Court sentenced Derryl Anderson this week in the murder of Lewis Bartlett III, 37, who was shot to death on Hardman Fork in July, 2016.

Anderson was sentenced to one to five years in the state penitentiary for Concealing a Deceased Human Body, a Felony. He was given credit for five hundred twelve days incarceration on this charge, according to prosecutor Shannon Jones.

Trudy Dowler appeared and was sentenced to five years probation for "Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in the First Degree," a felony. She was given credit for five hundred twelve days of jail time.

Trials for Bryant Hall, Austin Bailey, and Rickey Carpenter were continued to March 13, 2018. Trial for Bobby Persinger was continued to February 13, 2018, according to Johnson.

Criminal charges against Stephen Lockhart were dismissed on the defendant's motion.

Michael Hall, Jr. was released from incarceration and restored to bond. He had been incarcerated after a positive drug screen following his last hearing.
