TEFLON TRUMP'S LIES ARE THE NEW NORMAL - Supporters Don't Mind, "Stand By Your Man"

"Teflon Don" was a nickname given to mobster John Gotti because he was charged with different crimes multiple times but he was not convicted over many years. He finally was.

Donald Trump is the new teflon man, his supporters sticking with him despite hundreds of verified lies he has told.

Trump supporters respond that all politicians lie, a fact, but ignore the multitude of Trump's lies.

Teflon Trump, who admitted on tape to sexual misconduct and has been accused by 16 women of abuse, is reminiscent of the old Tammy Waynette song "Stand by your Man."

"Doin' things that you don't understand,
But if you love him you'll forgive him,
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him oh be proud of him,
'Cause after all he's just a man,
Stand by your man."

In American culture, it is the new 'abnormal,' a threat to our form of democratic democracy, once revered.
