| Two people were jailed in Braxton County after troopers said they found methamphetamine in a home where three children were present.
Amanda Barnett is charged with three counts of child neglect creating risk of injury. Pliant Smith is also facing three child neglect charges, along with possession with the intent to deliver meth, according to criminal complaints filed in Braxton County Magistrate Court.
Troopers say they responded to a home in Gassaway over the weekend after getting calls from concerned citizens.
Inside, they said they found more than $1,000 worth of meth on an open plate in an area to which three 6-year-old girls had access.
Troopers said more arrests are expected.
