FOUR INMATES OVERDOSE AT CENTRAL REGIONAL JAIL - Central Regional Inmate Seriously Beaten

West Virginia State Police are investigating after four Central Regional Jail inmates exhibited signs of an overdose Thursday.

The incidents happened at the Braxton jail, and the inmates had to receive outside medical treatment, said Lawrence Messina, communications director of the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety.

The inmates have since been returned to the facility.

No other information available.

West Virginia State Police are investigating an altercation inside the Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods that has left Albert Fuhrmaneck seriously injured. Troopers Fuhrmaneck's injuries are life-threatening. A spokesman with the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety said the inmate-on-inmate incident resulted in outside medical attention for Fuhrmaneck. He was awaiting trial on charges out of Braxton County for being a prohibited person with a firearm, assault on a police officer and obstructing.

There was no information on how Fuhrmaneck was injured as the internal and criminal investigation is ongoing.
