Ritchie County Prosecutor Sam Rogers says Benny Ray Workman was convicted by a jury Tuesday night on 12 counts charging him with second-degree sexual assault and sexual abuse by a custodian.
The incidents happened in June and July of 2016 involving two individuals. Workman could face more than 100 years in prison for the convictions. A Ritchie County jury convicted Burton Anderson of one count of each of attempted first-degree murder and malicious assault. Anderson was accused of running over Larry Leon Foster II, who was riding a dirt bike on Mayberry Road in February, 2016. A criminal complaint says Anderson called Foster a "snitch" and threatened to kill him. |
