MAN REPORTEDLY BRANDISHES KNIFE WHILE ATTEMPTING THEFT

A resident of Rt. 16, Stinson, reported an attempted theft of a trailer near his residence Monday at noon. The homeowner identified Travis Sampson of Walker Road, saying he was attempting to steal the trailer when he confronted him. According to the report, Sampson allegedly brandished a knife on the homeowner before he fled. Calhoun Sheriff Jeff Starcher was responding to the call.
