WIRT MURDER VICTIM'S KILLER YET TO BE CHARGED THREE YEARS LATER

(10/30/2017)
It's been more than three years since a Vienna woman was found shot to death in rural Wirt County, but investigators haven't given up hope of finding the person who shot her to death.

While the murder of 36-year-old Cindy Ball is unsolved, investigators are still pursuing her case.

Wood County Prosecuting Attorney Pat Lefebure say his office is following up on investigative reports, however, there's been no major breakthrough in the case.

Ball was last seen at the Overtime Sports Bar on Emerson Avenue in Parkersburg on October 22, 2014.

Hunters found her body two days later in a wooded area known as Sugar Camp near Munday in Wirt County.

Police have said they have persons of interest in the case, but so far they haven't named a suspect.

Troopers said she suffered a gun-shot wound to the back of her head. They said they do not believe she was killed at that location.

Ball had posted on Facebook about a man stealing things from her car, then later on, according to the post, he slashed all four of her tires.
