A Glenville State College sophomore is dead after a car crash in Glenville. Jonathan Knotts, 19, died Thursday after a car crash in front of the Foodland Plaza in Glenville, said Dustin Crutchfield, a public relations director for the college. Glenville police said Knotts was driving along W.Va. 5 East in Glenville when he lost control of his vehicle, crashing into the base of a sign at the plaza. Knotts was wearing a seatbelt during the crash. Knotts, a Philippi native, was a sophomore majoring in science education. A passenger in the vehicle, Tyler Oliver, a freshman offensive lineman on the university football team, was injured in the crash. He was taken to a local hospital where he was in stable condition Thursday evening. |
