SPENCER MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD PORN CHARGES

Spencer and Clendenin men are facing at least five years in federal prison after admitting to sending and receiving child pornography.

Authorities say 29-year-old Kenneth Frederick Stier of Spencer, and 39-year-old Steven Lee Rhodes of Clendenin, separately entered guilty pleas Monday.

Stier admitted in December 2016 to distributing two videos of prepubescent minors engaged in sex using a messenger application on his cell phone. He also admitted possessing hundreds of similar images and videos.

Prosecutors, said Rhodes admitted that in June 2015 he received a video of a prepubescent minor engaged in sex using a file-sharing program on his home computer and admitted possessing hundreds of similar images and videos. The men face five to 20 years in prison and will have to register as sex offenders.
