Curtis O'Neal Patterson, 85, of Chelyan died Dec. 31, 2002, at home of a sudden illness. He was retired from Appalachian Power Co., and was a member of Slaughters Creek Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Icie Ilene Patterson and one infant son. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Allen and Betty Allen, both of Nicut and Ilene Allen of Canvas; one sister, Pauline Richards of Sturgis, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, at Slaughters Creek Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Massey Cemetery, Winifrede. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank. Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, is in charge of arrangements.
