OBITUARY QUESTIONS? - The Hur Herald

The Hur Herald accepts obituaries from regional funeral directors and family sources, and does not exclude any obituary if there is a local or regional connection. The Herald accepts obituaries submitted from our readers across America if there is a family or local connection. We receive many by e-mail. We have received several inquiries regarding why certain obituaries, usually local, did not appear in The Herald. In those cases, the family of the deceased specifically instructed the funeral director not to submit the obituary in The Hur Herald. We have respected the desires of those families. The Herald does not, nor will it ever, charge for the insertion of full obituaries, although most daily newspapers are charging about $100 to do so.
