BRAXTON CO. HIGH REPORTS $20,000 MISSING WITH COUNTERFEIT CHECKS

More than $20,000 has been taken from Braxton County High School using counterfeit checks, according to the WV State Police.

Lt. Michael Baylous says the school's principal discovered the theft and reported it to state police, along with members of the county's board of education.

The investigation started a few weeks ago, but so far, no one has been charged, according to Baylous.
