West Virginia State Police arrested a Clay County man after they said he dragged a female high school student from his car.

Isaac Murphy, 22, is charged with malicious wounding after an incident that happened about 6 p.m. Friday in a parking lot near the Clay Family Pharmacy, State Police said.

The victim, an 18-year-old Clay High School student, was dragged about 20 feet in the parking lot, State Police said. She had to be flown to Charleston and was released on Saturday.

State Police said the entire incident was caught on surveillance cameras.

Troopers said they searched for Murphy for two days before he turned himself in late Monday afternoon. He was able to post a $100,000 bond.
