A West Virginia Baptist official and well-known minister has died. Rev.
Bryce W. Griffith, 79, of Parkersburg , died December 30, 2002 in
Camden-Clark Hospital.
A Roane County native, Rev. Griffith pastored churches in Spencer, Reedy.
Eastbank, Huntington and Buckhannon. Since 1975 until his retirement he
served as Minister of Communications for the West Virginia Baptist
Convention.
He is survived by two sons, David and Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church
on Parkersburg. Graveside services will be held at the Clover Cemetery
near Spencer at 2:30 p.m. Visitation 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the
Leavitt Funeral Home.
