CALHOUN MAN SENTENCED 2-10 YEARS IN PRISON - Jones Charged In $30,000 Burglary

A Chloe, Calhoun man has been sentenced 2-5 years in prison connected to stealing about $30,000 in ATVs and hunting equipment.

Eric Ray Jones, 25, plead guilty to two charges of burglary, taken from an out building on Rush Run Road and owned by Phillip Johnson.

He was also ordered to pay $12,000 to the victim and $18,000 to State Farm Insurance.

Jones has a significant history of property crimes in Calhoun and Roane counties.

4/27/2017: REGIONAL SEARCH ENDED WITH JONES BEING INCARCERATED - Charges Brought In Roane For $30,000 Burglary

Following several days of extensive searching for Eric Ray Jones, 24, Nicut, by Calhoun and regional authorities, Jones has been arrested on a capias warrant, likely a violation of conditions related to his release

He is also facing charges in Roane County.

Jones is in Central Regional Jail.

Jones has an extensive criminal and incarceration record in Calhoun and regional counties, mostly linked to property crimes.

More recently, Roane authorities filed charges against Jones and his girlfriend Angela Sears, 37, Lower Nicut Road, with stealing over $30,000 worth of items from a cabin and storage building on Rush Creek in the backwaters of Charles Fork Lake.
