DANIELS RUN NEWS 1902 - The Death Angel Came

June 13, 1902

Miss Minnie Morgan is very poorly at this writing. Her Many friends have small hopes for her recovery.

The death angel visited our vicinity and took one more sufferer away, in the person of Mrs. Eunice Leach who died June 4th and was buried at Mount Zion the 5th. We extend heartfelt sympathy, to her bereaved friends.

The weather is fine, and the farmers are taking advantage of it by improving the fleeting moments.

Col T.T. Hodges, of Mt. Zion, was in our midst this week leasing land for oil. He says he is the only company in the world. "Uncle Tom" has been the means of scattering lots of money in our neighborhood. Come on "Uncle," we know you are from Missouri.

Hoeing corn and killing caterpillars seems to be the order of the day.

Miss Myrtle Leach died last Wednesday a week ago. We extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.

Miss Minnie Morgan, who has been sick with consumption, is no better.

J.M. Stockwell will start to Webster county next Sunday to visit his daughter, who lives near Addison.

The Sabbath school at the new school house is a success.

Winter Starcher, of Webster Co., is visiting friends on Daniel Run. A. and Warren Gibson started to Richwood.

John Crawford made a flying trip Sunday.
