A driver lost control of their vehicle Saturday afternoon on Route 16 at the Upper West Fork Park, causing considerable damage.

The vehicle took out a number of park signs, including the Farmers Market sign near the highway, while clipping off a fire hydrant.

The car and driver then plunged over the embankment near the West Fork of the LK, the driver leaving the scene.

State Police responded to the incident.
