LESTER WELLINGTON KING - Orma

Lester Wellington King, 89, of Orma, WV, died December 27th at his home following a long illness.

Born August 10, 1913 in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Jerry and Ora Vankirk King. He was a longshoreman in Cleveland for many years and was a former coal miner.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Gilkeson King and sons, Blaine King of orma, William R. (Rusty) Austin of Old Town, Maryland, Wade A. Austin of Woodriver, Nebraska; daughters Sandie Clifton and her husband, Albert of Patrick Springs, Virginia and Leslie Truelove and her husband, Ronald of Cleveland, Georgia; foster daughter, Lisa Kincaid of Florida; three sisters, Goldia Campbell of Belpre, Ohio, Ellen Laffree of Harrisville, WV and Mary Ide and her husband Al of Columbus, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Garnet Heinzman King and daughter, Billy Jean King Sypolt and 3 infant siblings.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 10 a.m. at stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Reverend Larry Vaughn will officiate. Interment will be in the King Cemetery at Nicut. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday
