CALTRIDER FUNERAL SCHEDULED - Remains Discovered Under "Suspicious Circumstances"

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday in Elizabeth for David S. Caltrider Sr., 37, of Elizabeth, whose body was discovered near the L-K Nursey at Newark on December 23rd.

Authorities are investigating the nature of his death, with results expected to be released by the State Medical Examiner's office.

He was born Jan. 20, 1965, in Wood County, son of Nancy Oiler Caltrider of Elizabeth and the late Robert Ray Caltrider. He was a 1983 graduate of Parkersburg South High School.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, David S. Caltrider Jr., of Logan, Ohio; two brothers and their wives, Jeff and Margaret Caltrider of Belpre, and Brian and Wanda Caltrider of Mineral Wells; three sisters, Shauna Creasey of Mineral Wells, Tammy Shirley of Parkersburg, and Angie Forshey and her husband, Jerry of Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Busch Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with the Pastor Raymond R. Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Fought Cemetery, Newark. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
