THE GREATEST GENERATION

Battle of the Bulge World War II solider Donald Burl Kelley, 91, of Grantsville, has passed.

After high school, he served in the US Army in World War II under General Patton's 3rd Battalion and saw combat at the Battle of the Bulge.

Don graduated from Mountain State Business College and pursued a life-long career in banking at the Calhoun County Bank in Grantsville.

One of the highlights of his life was his recent experience with the Honor Flight Organization. He was able to travel with other veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials and be honored for his service to his country.
