Denver R. (Ron) Yoak, 70 of Clarksburg, WV, formerly of Big Bend, WV, died December 25 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Clarksburg.

Born in Calhoun County, he was the son of the late John W. and Eva B. Richards Yoak. He was a former elementary school teacher in Ritchie and Roane counties. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Alaska.

Surviving are three brothers, Clifford Yoak of Parkersburg, WV, Ralph Yoak of Colorado and Herbert Yoak of Big Bend; four sisters, Garnet Chernesky and June Cunningham both of Cleveland, Ohio, Betty McVaney of Clarksburg and Beverly Robinson of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Victor Yoak.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverend Randy Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in the Yoak Cemetery at Big Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
