A Looneyville, Roane County woman, Rita A. Parker, 59, survived a crash Sunday near US 50 in Washington County OH, but two passengers in her vehicle were killed.

Parker was taken to a Huntington medical center for treatment of trauma.

Dead are Zelda J. Kessler, 68, and James R. Kessler, 67, both of Hansford, W.Va., who were passengers in a Ford Explorer driven by Parker.

The Highway Patrol said its preliminary investigation shows that Parker was traveling north on Rt. 26 when she failed to yield at a stop sign and her vehicle was struck by a Dodge pickup driven by Joshua Dial, 19, of Scottown, Ohio.

Dial was treated at the accident scene.
