Baby, Allison Clay Carpenter - Spencer

Allison Clay Carpenter, eleven months and 27 days old, went to sleep in the arms of angels, with family close by at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday May 10, 2016.

She was born May 13, 2015 at Charleston, a daughter of Joseph Wayne and Amanda Gail Stutler Carpenter, Jr. of Spencer, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Allison is survived by brothers and sister, Collin Carpenter, Samuel Antill, Henry Antill and Savannah Carpenter; maternal grandmother, Melanie Taylor of Spencer; maternal grandfather, Tim Stutler of Spencer; paternal grandfather and step grandmother, Joseph W. and Ramona Carpenter, Sr. of Parkersburg WV; paternal grandmother, Tammy Lynn Carpenter of Kansas City MO; maternal great grandmother, Evelyn Stutler of Spencer; paternal great grandfather and step great grandmother, Edmund and Carol Carpenter of Spencer; paternal great grandmother, Alice Mace of Spencer; aunt, Amber Stutler of St. Albans WV.

The family wants to take this time to recognize and thank the following people for their help during Allison's journey: Kanawha Hospice, Dr. Wright and the staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital, the Birth to Three team, Dr. Byron Calhoun, Dr. Grant Parkins and Dr. Ammar Shammaa. We also thank the large number of friends and family who prayed for, and helped Allison and us in so many special ways during her journey through this world.

A service to remember Allison will be held Saturday, May 14 at 4:00 p.m. at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Spencer Memorial Cemetery, Spencer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1-4 p.m.
