STARCHER SQUEAKS BY 28 VOTES FOR CALHOUN SHERIFF

In the hotly contested race for Calhoun Sheriff, current Chief Deputy Jeff Starcher, squeaked a victory by 28 points with 550 votes.

Opponent, Grantsville Police Chief Andy Walker, received 522 votes.

Long time law enforcement officer Bob Groves received 341 votes, and teacher Brandi Richards received 185 votes for fourth place.

Republican candidate for sheriff Eugene Stevens received 280 votes.
