James A. Southall, 66 - Spencer

James A. Southall, 66, of Spencer, West Virginia, died at 8:02 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 at the St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington.

He was born September 12, 1949 at Spencer, a son of the late Rolley and Cleora Kelley Southall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Edward Southall and Loren Dean Southall.

James was a retired employee of Kellwood Corporation, Spencer. He was a former employee of Mustang Survival, Elizabeth and Hildreth Supply of Spencer. His hobbies included country dancing and entertaining his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Della J. Lowe Southall; a son, James Gregory Southall of Spencer; two granddaughters, Brittini Leigh Taylor and Alexis Paige Southall both of Spencer; one great granddaughter, Malice Blaire Taylor; a sister, Melda Fore of Spencer.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Greathouse and Bro. Bill Walton officiating. Burial will be in the Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain. The family will receive friends two hours before the funeral on Tuesday.
