Marlene Kay Kight, 62 - Big Springs

Marlene Kay Kight, 62, of Big Springs, WV was escorted by Angels to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday April 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and Pastor Alfred Hickman.

Marlene was born July 29, 1953 in Grantsville, WV, a daughter of the late Alfred Harley and Liddie Ellen Selmon Wilson. Marlene was a former employee of Rubber Crafters and BF Goodrich. She was a cherished wife, mother, and friend to many. Marlene attended Five Forks Community Church and was a devout Christian.

Marlene is survived by her loving husband, Alfred D. Kight, 2 daughters, Crystal (Chuck) Kendall of Grantsville, Jennifer (Dean) Nicholas of Big Springs, 1 son, Dennie Ray Kight of Pleasant Hill, 7 precious grandchildren Chuck Kendall III (Nancy McKenzie), Danielle Kendall, Christopher Kendall, Jarrett Nicholas, Alexander Nicholas, Kayla Kight and Lanaya Kight. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Flossie McDonald and Betty Westfall and 3 brothers, Darrell "Pat" Wilson, Doil Westfall and Kenneth Westfall and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Lester Westfall who was the only father she ever knew, 1 brother, Cherrel "Jack" Wilson, 2 sisters Lois Elaine Wilson and her 3-day old twin, Darlene Mae Wilson.

Marlene was a loving wife and mother who always put her family ahead of anyone including herself. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Please join us in celebrating the life of a giving and selfless person until we meet again in Heaven someday.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at noon at Five Forks Community Church with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Visitation will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Interment will be in Nobe Cemetery.
