The Elizabeth-Wirt Volunteer Fire Department is adding on to its building, a $300,000 expansion, according to Chief Stephen Settle.
Settle says money has mostly been raised through fund raising, and volunteers are doing most of the labor.
The two story addition will add 3,500 sq. ft. to the department.
It will include a training room, kitchen, office space, and recreation area.
The project will take a year and half to complete. |
