Myrtle Ivy Truman, 98 - Newton

Myrtle Ivy Truman, 98, of Newton, West Virginia, died at 9:05 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was born February 13, 1918 at Crosby, Clay County, a daughter of the late James husband, Sherman Edgar Truman.

Mrs. Truman was a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Elana and the Linden Chapter No. 152, Order of the Eastern Star, Linden.

Survivors include sons, Dencil Truman of Newton, Delmas Truman of Elkins WV, Joe Truman, Allen Truman and Eddie Truman all of Newton; daughters, Wanda Sanders of Lizemore WV, Judith McClain and Carol Fisher both of Spencer WV, Barbara Lloyd and Marsha Beckett both of Newton, and Connie Engle of Left Hand WV; 138 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Elana, with the Rev. Kenneth Truman officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at the church.
