Charles E. Brisendine, 82 - Walton

Charles E. Brisendine, 82, of Walton, West Virginia, died at 6:03 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after an extended illness.

He was born August 29, 1933 at Walton, the son of the late Howard Marshall "Frizzle" and Dessie Gay Hively Brisendine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Alice Frances Harper Brisendine, December 28, 2010.

Charles was a retired employee of Pennzoil. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 175, South Charleston and a lifelong resident of Roane County. Also, he enjoyed farming.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Theresa Brisendine of Walton; grandchildren, Chad Brisendine and his fiancée, Jamie Smith of Walton and Rebecca Starcher and her husband, John also of Walton; great grandchildren, Kamryn and Koltyn Starcher; sister, Ruby Seabolt of Ripley.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Tim Ashley officiating. A private burial will be in the Brisendine Family Cemetery, Walton. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
