UPDATE: KIRBY ASKING TO RESCIND CALHOUN SUPERINTENDENT'S SALARY INCREASE

(04/08/2016)
Calhoun citizen Richard Kirby, in letters to the editors of the Calhoun Chronicle and the Hur Herald, says he will be asking the Calhoun Board of Education to rescind the recent salary increase issued to Superintendent Tim Woodward.

Kirby says he will be at the board meeting Monday, April 11, at 5:30 p.m. to make the request and discuss other issues related to problems.

Kirby has questioned regarding his right to speak at the school board meeting since the adoption of a new policy. Calhoun Superintendent of Schools Tim Woodward told the Herald that the policy allows five minutes for a delegation or individual to speak at board meetings.
