WILLIE TONY JONES - Former Freed

Willie ''Tony'' Jones, 64, of Tuppers Plains, Ohio, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Pomeroy, Ohio. He was born Nov. 26, 1938, in Freed, W.Va., a son of the late Lorine and Curtis Jones. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Stover Jones; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diana (Jones) and Steve Mayo of Vienna, Connie (Jones) and John Rankin of Tuppers Plains, and Judy (Jones) and Dennis Garrett of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one adopted son, Willie; one brother, Junior Jones of Little Hocking; two sisters, Velma and Marie of California; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Eliza Meriwether. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, Reedsville, Pastor Teresa Waldeck and Pastor Linda Kuhn officiating. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made in the memory of Tony Jones to the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 68, Reedsville, Ohio 45772. White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville is in charge of arrangements.
