Virginia Fay Merical Coplin, 91 - Palestine

Virginia Fay Merical Coplin, 91, of Palestine, WV, formerly of Millwood, WV, passed away March 21, 2016, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, following a brief illness.

She was born November 23, 1924, in Letart Falls, OH, the daughter of the late Raymond Asbury and Josie Louetta (Park) Sayre.

Her first husband, Ray Merical; second husband, Don Coplin; brothers, Millard "Bub" Sayre, Ashford Sayre, Jack Sayre, Telford Sayre and sisters, Mildred Scarberry and Leona Sayre also preceded her in death.

Fay had been a resident of Palestine for 30 years, was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting and was an active member of the Bethesda Church Ladies Club. She was a member of Chapter #16 Order of Eastern Star, Cottageville, a former member of the Millwood United Methodist Church and was a current member of the Bethesda Church, Palestine.

Survivors include her sons, Willard "Dick" Merical (Connie) and Douglas Merical (Reba Jo) all of Millwood WV; brother, Dan Sayre of Parkersburg WV; sister, Leota Saunders of Millwood; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Pastor Dale Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
