FIRE STRIKES ANTERO WELL SITE IN RITCHIE

The Pennsboro Fire Department responded to call around 9:15 Saturday morning regarding a well fire on White Oak Road in Pullman in Ritchie County. The Pennsboro Fire Department had help from a few neighboring fire departments including the Harrisville Fire Department, which put the fire out around 11:30 a.m. No injuries were reported. Antero Resources and the Department of Environmental Protection are leading the investigation. There's no word on what caused the fire, but no environmental damage was created. The site's wells have been shut-in and operations are currently suspended.
