John Patrick "Pat" Whited, 65 - Spencer

John Patrick "Pat" Whited, 65, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away at 1:20 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at the CAMC - Memorial Hospital, Charleston, after an extended illness. He was born September 18, 1950 at Spencer, the son of the late Roy Franklin and Mary Helen Beirne Whited. Pat was a welder, oil field worker and timberman. Survivors include his sons, Jay Whited of Spencer and Joe Whited of Washington VA; three grandchildren, Jakiah and Haleigh both of Spencer, and Teya of Ripley WV; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Sue and Luke Kelley of Spencer; two nephews, Mike Kelley of Charlotte NC and Scott Kelley of Huntington WV; special friend, Robin Walker of Virginia. His request for cremation has been honored. An urn burial will take place at a later date at the Ward Cemetery, Spencer. John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
