The periodical cicadas (locusts) come around every seventeen years, and for the Mid-Ohio Valley that means they are back this year.

Many homeowners may not like the loud bugs, but officials say they cause very little damage to the trees.

The younger trees, with smaller branches, are the ones most cicadas target.
