ALTIZER ROAD CLOSURE EXTENDED

COMPLETION DATE REVISED: Calhoun CR 18 - Altizer Road

The road was closed beginning Tuesday, March 1, 2016 for slip repair.

West Virginia Division of Highways announced the closure of Calhoun County Route 18, Altizer Road, beginning on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, for slip repair, according to Jake Bumgarner, District Three Maintenance Engineer.

Crews working for GSI will have CR 18 closed from milepost 4.60 to milepost 4.90 (0.82 miles North of CR 18/2, Hughes Run) to accommodate slip repair. The roadway is expected to be closed to all traffic between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with one lane being open to motorists between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. The anticipated completion date of this project is Friday, March 11, 2016.

Major delays can be expected and motorists will not be allowed through the work zone when heavy equipment is in use. Motorists must use an alternate route during work hours.
