Powers lines went down as wind gusts of 30-50 mph swept across the county, also felling some trees.

Reports indicated a motorist encountered power lines on US 33/119 at the Sand Ridge Church, but was able to free his vehicle and himself, the pole being down.

The Arnoldsburg and the Grantsville VFD responded to the incident shortly before 10 p.m. with the State Police.

The motorist was not injured.

Minnie Hamilton EMS responded to an accident on Altizer Road Tuesday evening after an ATV or UTV crashed through a garage door with a person on the vehicle.

The extent of the drivers injuries not learned.

Electric service has been disrupted in several WV counties due to high winds.
