Fred A. Layman, Jr., 40 of Ellenboro WV, died February 23, 2016 in a work site accident in Marion County, WV.He was born Dec. 31, 1975 at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, DE. He was a 1994 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He worked as a pipeliner for Ronald Lane, Inc. as a directional bore operator for more than 20 years. Fred worked hard every day doing what he loved to provide for and take care of his family. He was his children's number one fan. Nothing made him more proud than watching Tyler play golf, Brady wrestle and Sophia dance. When he wasn't working or spending time with his family, he enjoyed riding four-wheelers, hunting and spending time with his friends who he considered family. He was a member of Spruce Grove United Methodist Church. Fred is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 15 years Christina Renee Layman. Fred spent every minute of his life loving her and their three children, Tyler Keith 17, Brady Shane 13, and Sophia Renee 9 of Ellenboro and son, Thomas Meunier of Marietta OH; parents, Fred and Barbara Layman of Vienna WV; sister, Amy and Scott Gilbert of Belpre OH; nephews Hunter and Cooper Gilbert; mother-in-law, Elaine Boston of Harrisville WV; father-in-law, Johnnie Lee and Kathy Boston of Pennsboro WV; sister-in-law Amanda and Tassos Trypanis of Martinsburg WV; his grandmother, Jerldene Leasure of Vienna; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clarence and Harriet Layman and his maternal grandfather Gora Leasure. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville WV with Kenneth P. Parson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday from 1-8 p.m. and after 12 p.m. on the day of the service.
