Dylan Heiney and Dakota Jarvis combined for 16 free throws in the fourth quarter to lead visiting Calhoun to a 61-50 victory over Braxton County Friday night.

Overall, the Red Devils shot 20 of 22 free throws in that quarter to lift their record to 11-8 assuring a winning season, the first since the 2003-04 team that advanced to the state tournament.

The Red Dervils, once again, started slow but by halftime they had grabbed a lead they would never relinquish although the Eagles, 6-14, did knot things up in the third quarter.

But after that the Red Devils jumped back on top and slowly pulled away the rest of the way.

Heiney led Calhoun with 22 points while Zack Yanero added 14 and Ethyn Miller 12. Jarvis chipped in with eight and Austin Gribble had five to round out the scoring. Soney Wilson, Ben Frederick, Nick Murphy, Trevor Carder and Hayden Richards all played but did not score.
