DNR OFFICERS CHASE ROANE HUNTERS - Illegal Kill And "Drug Related Evidence"

State conservation officers arrested three men after a two-mile car chase through the Roane County woods near a rural area known as Stringtown.

Officers Ray Anderson and Clyde Armstead were investigating an illegal hunting complaint when they spotted a suspicious vehicle, according to a DNR release.

Following a brief chase, officers arrested Clio residents Joseph Waychoff, 21, Timothy K Waychoff, 19, and Joshua Armstead, 18. Officers found an illegally killed 8-point buck and "drug-related evidence" in the vehicle.

All three men have been arraigned in Roane County Magistrate Court and released on personal recognizance bonds.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected to be filed, according to the DNR.
